The short answer
When you want to print only the mark, make clear whether the background should be absent. A white rectangle in the file could be part of the graphics or an element to remove: don’t leave this decision implicit.
What to consider
The white in a logo and a white background are not the same thing. Removing everything that looks light can damage letters, spaces and details of the mark. A checkerboard visible in an image may also be embedded in the photo rather than representing real transparency. Always check the result on a different background.
How to prepare your project
Ask the partner for an official version without background, if available. In the sponsor note, write which white elements must stay and attach a reference of the correct result. Check the edge of the mark and the spacing between letters in the draft. Don’t approve just because the file looks right on a white page.

No. The product image is for the preview; the logo to be produced needs its own attachment and instructions.
