The short answer
A measurement with its unit is more precise than a request like “as big as in the photo”. Say whether you’re giving width or height and whether the original proportions must be kept.
What to consider
Visual comparison depends on screen size and image cropping. Two people may read the same draft differently on phone and computer. Measuring a garment you already have can help you word a request, but it doesn’t justify automatically applying that measurement to every model or size.
How to prepare your project
Write, for example, “desired width 12 cm, proportions unchanged, heart side”. If the resulting height causes a problem, ask the style centre for a proposal instead of distorting the file. For the smallest sizes, say whether resizing is allowed. The final size must be consistent with the confirmed draft and the model’s space.
