The short answer
Check the draft by categories of information, not just by overall impression: model, colours, brand marks, text, numbers, positions and options. Always compare it with the project revision it refers to.
What to consider
Great graphics can contain a wrong name or an outdated sponsor. Open the reference attachments and check the brands one by one, paying attention to single-colour versions and small taglines. If you asked for the Dominguez logo to be removed, check it’s visible as a choice in the summary as well as in the graphic proposal.
How to prepare your project
Gather all the changes in a single message, stating the position and element concerned. Avoid feedback like “tidy up the front a bit”: write what must change. After the update, also check the parts that stayed the same. Graphic approval is separate from the financial confirmation and the production authorisation in the order process.
Before continuing
- Correct revision
- All texts reread
- Changes described in a single message
If I approve the graphics, does production start straight away?
Not automatically. The confirmations and checks set out in the project and the order terms still need completing.
