The short answer
State the leg from the point of view of the person wearing the shorts and describe the desired area. “Bottom right” on a photo can be read from the opposite viewpoint.
What to consider
Consider what is already on the model: graphics, brand mark, seams or other elements can affect the usable space. Don’t automatically put all the vest’s sponsors on the shorts. Decide which ones should appear, at what size and whether they should be repeated on both sides.
How to prepare your project
Add a note for each sponsor in the shorts line. If you ask for a number, say whether it matches the one on the vest and check it against the athlete. For DTF, count the actual applications on this item, without implicitly adding them to those on the top. Review the whole set in the draft.

Is the vest’s sponsor automatically printed on the bottoms too?
No. The request must be explicit and linked to the product you want the application on.
