The short answer
Use the product code and the official variant, not just the colour name. Two images that seem to show the same blue don’t necessarily identify the same catalogue reference.
What to consider
Check the shorts size and the shirt size separately. Also consider whether the project includes a number, crest or sponsors on the bottoms: an instruction written only in the shirt line might not be carried over to the shorts. The combination must be checked as a whole, but each item must keep complete production data.
How to prepare your project
Add the shorts as a dedicated line, choose the variant and fill in the quantities. Specify in its notes any logos and the side as seen by the wearer. Compare the totals: if the team orders two shirts and one pair of shorts per athlete, it’s normal for the quantities to differ, but it must be a deliberate choice.
