The short answer
A single-colour version can simplify the layout when the original logo has many details or colours that clash with the garment. But it must be an approved variant of the brand, not a random reinterpretation.
What to consider
Removing the colours doesn’t automatically turn the file into a good single-colour version. Outlines, inner spaces and lettering can lose legibility. For a sponsor, preferably ask for the official positive or negative file and any usage rules. Don’t convert the brand to white just because it looks more elegant in the kit photo.
How to prepare your project
Upload the approved version and say whether it should be used on a light or dark background. In the notes, specify which parts must stay empty and which solid. Check the small details and any tagline in the draft. If the partner must validate how the logo is used, collect their feedback before the final confirmation of the project.
Before continuing
- Approved version
- Contrast on the chosen colour
- Small lettering still legible
Does a single-colour logo automatically cost less?
Don’t assume a discount. In the DTF count set by Dominguez, the logo counts per garment, according to the configured terms.
